Humble beginnings with brothers Dean and Leon (D&L) supplying colorants to the plastics industry

D&L Industries was incorporated with primary interest in customization and manufacturing of specialty colorants and ingredients

First to locally manufacture and introduce masterbatch technology to the Philippine plastics industry

1988
First In Colours, Inc. (FIC) was founded to strengthen focus on core competencies in plastic colorants, additives, engineered polymers, etc.

Technology Transfer Partnership established with Nippon Pigment-Color, which raised the bar in color process manufacturing

FIC became the first 100% Restriction of Hazardous Substance (ROHS)-compliant color masterbatch company in the Philippines

“Biomate”, a groundbreaking biodegradable additive for Polyolefin Plastics in the Philippines was developed

Launch of the Laguna Export Zone facility in line with the expansion of FIC’s polymer group for specialty compounds to cater to the growing demand of export market (D&L Polymer & Colours, Inc.)

Joint Development Partnership formed with Showa Denko on “Bionelle”, a fully biodegradable polymer blend

Partnership established with Natureworks LLC to compound and distribute Ingeo(R) Polylactic Acid (PLA)
